Job Description
This Production Control Clerk will coordinate release of work orders to production to support customer / sales priorities of in-house and at sub-contractors. Will track work orders from inception through shipment. This individual will assessed by the timeliness and accuracy of the WOT (work order tracking ) report data and their ability to effectively work with personnel in-house and sub-contractors to achieve production priorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform data control, input/output functions in support of manufacturing processing of jobs through production using current procedures
- Enter work order data and maintain WOT spreadsheet
- Track/monitor status of work orders through production. Maintain current status and updates daily
- Work with Sales to maintain priority list of work orders
- Execute release of work orders and materials to outside sub-contractors
- Work with outside sub-contractors to achieve up-to-date status of work orders through completion
- Work with Purchasing to coordinates shortage fills with sub-contractors
- Work with Sales to tracks work orders from Sales release to shipment
- Update data entry on work order status and movement
- Identify bottlenecks and reports to management
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years Production Control and or Materials Management experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and write English
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong math, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain accurate record keeping
